Connect an AI app
Connect ChatGPT or Claude to read and edit your Zamgot Studio projects, and manage the permissions you grant.
Last updated: 2026-10-27
What can I do?
Tools work with files, design documents, Completion Gates, and history in Studio projects the connected account owns or operates.
- List projects and files; read and search files; inspect file and asset information.
- Write, edit, move, copy, and delete files; create folders and extract archives.
- Read file history and past contents; restore a file or project to an earlier version.
- Read, create, edit, and delete design documents and sections; mark designs complete and manage Completion Gates.
- Read existing build records and errors, reference guides, and runtime change notes.
What permissions do I grant?
Review the permissions requested on the connection screen before allowing access. Editing, deletion, and restoration change project contents; review the requested changes in your app.
- studio:read — read projects, files, history, design documents, and existing build records.
- studio:write — write, edit, delete, or restore project files, design documents, and Completion Gates.
Connect from ChatGPT or Claude
Connection menu names and availability may vary by app version and account.
- Find Zamgot Studio in the ChatGPT app directory or Claude connector directory and choose to connect.
- Sign in to the Zamgot account you want to use.
- Review and allow the requested Studio permissions, then return to the app.
- To add an address directly, enter https://zamgot.com/api/mcp/app as the MCP server address and follow the same sign-in and permission steps.
Try these requests
- List my Studio projects and explain the player movement code in this project.
- Find the movement speed setting in this project and show me the proposed change first.
- Compare this file with an earlier version and confirm which version to restore.
- Read this project's design document and outline Completion Gates for the next step.
Disconnect and reconnect
Disconnect in Studio → AI Settings → Remote (MCP) → Connected apps and tokens by choosing Disconnect for that app. To use the app again, start the connection flow in the app, sign in to Zamgot, and grant permissions again.
Access tokens are valid for 1 hour and refresh tokens for 30 days after issuance. A refresh replaces the refresh token. Reconnect if the refresh token has expired.
Signing out of all devices or resetting your password revokes connection credentials. Connections cannot access a deleted account. Disconnecting does not automatically delete information already sent to the app provider.
Troubleshooting
If no sign-in window or authentication button appears, fully quit and restart the app, then try connecting again. You can also disconnect the existing connection and reconnect.
If you also use the Codex CLI, run codex mcp logout <server name> to clear saved credentials, then reconnect. Use the server name you registered.
If reading works but edits are refused, check that you granted studio:write. Disconnect and reconnect to change permissions.
